Hello PG Phorum I am wondering how I am going to power my system in my 1991 Honda Civic 2 door hatchback? I have 2 MS2250's for the subs witch I don't have yet I have 1 MS2125 for my 4 8 inch middbass another MS2125 for 4 5.25 midrange 2MS275's for my 4 4inch midrange and a MQ 430 for my tweets...back in the day I had 4 MS 2250s powering 8 15s,MS250 to 4 8s 1 MQ430 powering 2 6.5s and 2 5.25s and another MQ430 powering 2 G&S ODKD tweets and 2 Infinity tweets. When I had my old system I had 2 alternators 1 for the truck and 1 for the system and 6 batterys this was no way near enough power.SO Phorum what do you think?

i think....you might need a dedicated h22 just to move the alternator needed for all that! past the additional high output alternator for just the stereo, i'm not sure what you cold do. you may have to consult some big time spl'er types.

Honestly it's a grand idea and all but do you really want to spend a ton of cash on electrical?
I would think you'll need in excess of 600 amps output from an alt(s) and a huge bank of battery's, this is of course always possible but it'll be very expensive and alot of weigh in batts and wire etc.... etc.... what is the purpose of this vehicle? This is not a daily driver IMO.

Yea it is a pretty grand idea

It wouldn't be a daily driver I am not even sure if I can fit all of the amps in the car yet

I have almost all the wire. The power is the one thing I want to try and get figured out before I even start with anything else.I am a welder fabricator so I should be able I hope....add 2 alternator's .I just read about that MotorMaul thing I don't think that will work at all but they do sell alternators not sure if they are any good.

heck the civics little 1.6l engine will not be able to turn all the alt. needed in that car. im going with 120amp of current in my 2004 civic and bought alot of wire alt batt ect. the stock 70 alt is not worth anything IMO

It is alot....I am not getting any younger I have a PC650 in the car now bridged to the 6.5's in the doors and 2 12JL's and I say it is not loud enough but some people say it is.OK so far it sounds like you guys want me to just let all these amps just sit around and not be abused

no just pg gear. it funny your look at running about 2-3thousand watts vs your 50x6.
Im going with 2 soundstream tr700/2 175x2 front and 700 sub with all focal gear all my gain will be turned down but it will still kill my old pc450 set up
I think you could get alot more sound with just a ms 2250 and a ms2125 than what you have and save alot of $$$ on wire batt alt ect. a civic is small air space and a hatch back can get stupid low with the right sub and box

One of the reasons I want put this system together is because of this Phorum.I also miss the system I had back in the day.

I could do alot of stuff different.I am trying to figure out how I can power all of it now and if I can't I will switch up.I also have all this gear and want to use it in 1 car.

I don't even think my car is worth 500 I paid 900 for it 10 years ago

I am trying to blow the windows out of it

Reasoning is just to make me happy.
