Could not find 5w resistors from a usa or europeean seller on ebay so went with 180ohm 2w. Will two in parallel be sufficient or must they combined be 5w or higher? Found some nice 10w resistors with aluminum casing but then again only in 180 and they were quite large.
Guess I should start a "m44 repair" thread

Mouser or digikey should have them. I wouldn't trust Ebay unless they are reputable Sellers.

Re: m44 caps
The M44 is coming along nicely. Changed most caps, just missing a 100uF one. I´ll leave the big ones alone for now. 3 new irfz44, green and red led´s(previous owner had removed them???) speaker and power terminal. Original were grey, could not find a grey powerterminal anywhere so changed all of them to black.
The front input rca connector is missing the R shield. Are these available to buy somewhere or should I just use the more common chassis mount rca connector? Have some wbt I could use. Yeah and I put in a fancy gold plated agu fuse
Still waiting for the resistors to arrive.
How do you adjust the bias on this thing?

if you change the ps mosfet's, better upgrade the irfz44 to a irfz48.....
they can handle a higher current value.......
i replaced them once in a M50.....works great....
i replaced them 3 times in a zpa0.5...(16 fets).......
same value of gate resitors......
feel free to do or not...... it is indeed better to replace them all together....( 4 pieces )
you find them also at farnell....(newark europe)
