if its in good shape I would rock it for $50... The outside edge never held up that well so don't be suprised if it is gone, but they are a pretty nice sub imo.

I enjoyed my Xmas 10 for rock and other punchy music but I gotta say I prefer the RSDc 12 in every way. $50 is decent for the 12.

The 12's are quite a bit louder/punchier than the 10's. Almost too aggressive at times. Great sub for $50 though!

we had a pair that was in our soundboard at the store for years that was beat on all the time in demos. One night when it was slow we decided it was lookin a little ratty and that if it were damaged it would be repaired and made to look better. So that night we set out to blow the 12's. We wired them to the zx600, maxed the gain/bass out on all levels and proceded to pound the holy hell outta that thing. We thought it would hold up for a while but after 45 mins we were bored already so we went out and watched some tv while it kept playing. We pounded that thing for over 2 hrs at full volume and when we came back the soundroom smelled like a hot voice coil, the dust-cap was hot but it was still playing... Finally there was only one way to do it, the 60hz test.........

I've run my Xmax 12 for maybe 4 years now and have really enjoyed it. It's punchy for rock, plenty loud when I listen to rap, and it even sounds good when my wife listens to crappy country music.

I only give mine 200 watts and I still have to turn the bass down when listening to something like NAS or Blackstar.

Good subwoofer for sure. Is it a V1 or V2 version ?

If you can collect in person, check the stand of the conus in rest. If the spider(yellow part) "falls down" into the magnet,

it has pounded really hard. I had the luck to find 4x 12 inch in good condition years ago, but last year i could buy two almost

mint looking 10 inch for a low price, but didn't take them because i saw they had been driven very hard ..... Next to a listening

test my opinion the only way to see if a sub is almost "played soft" or still in a good condition. anyway it is a low price ! If you buy it,

and don't forget V1 and V2 need different enclosures.

good luck.

V1's and V2's will play in the same enclosure. The differences between the 2 were minimal and had little to 0 impact on the box requirements.
Easy way to tell which is which, the V2's have insulation over the tinsel leads, V1's do not.

I know they'll play in the same box together as I talked to PG about it years ago and.......... I had one of each V1/V2 (XMAX10) in the same ported box that I ran for 2 years w/o ANY issues.

But at $50 for a 12, I'd pay it all day long.

I have all those specifications on paper from back in the days, the only ones who are missing also,

are the enclosure specifications of the Xmax8 V1 and the Xmax15 V1. sealed, vented and bandpass enclosures.

Nowhere to find anymore. Does somebody has this still on paper ? I would love to complete that map.

Thanks in advance, gentlemen.........
