RCA's

Hey guys,
I had a bad amp that pushed voltage through my RCA's and I believed they have been compromised. I know this has most likely been beat to death so I apologize before hand for even asking. I am running three amps active off the deck so I need to replace three sets of RCA's (Or two sets and run a single RCA to the mono sub amp). I don't want or desire to spend a fortune on RCA's. What is the best alternative for reasonable RCA's. I am handy with a soldering gun so I am not afraid to make my own but some sets might be just as good for the money that are pre-built. I don't want to build them if there isn't going to be a benefit. I am just looking for a clean, reliable, solid cable. Nothing crazy. I will most likely be ordering an amp install kit from knuconceptz soon as was looking at their RCA's which look good but wanted to post this question before I bought anything. If there is a "best kept secret in RCA's out there I didn't want to miss out"
Thanks,
Lance
