I'm not sure how you can change the ports on that box, but I ran those in a 3 cf box ported. Wayne of TREO, suggested two 3" dia ports at 7.5" long. Tunes to about 37 Hz iir. If you can change the port, I'd start there. The surface area of a 3" port is 7.06 sq in. Find out what the sq in is for each port you have and get back with me.

I personally have tried polyfill in my last ported box and found little to no improvement probably lessened impact quite honestly, don't add polyfill to a ported box, if sealed than perhaps a little would smooth out the response. Mike just install as it is and see how it sounds. I doubt you will be close to 140dB tho, maybe 133 or so. meter means nothing, doesn't matter really as long as it sounds good. Forget modifying it, slam it in and have a listen first.
screw car audio, I'd rather go fast....errr, wait a minute.

Polyfill helps ported boxes too. Most home audio speakers utilize a ported, damped setup. You'll need to use the sheet stuff though, or "egg crate" acoustic foam.

Stuffing does effect ported, but it is minimal compared to sealed. I didn't use any stuffing at all and my box was one big chamber w/no dividing wall. The box shape I made also needed no bracing. I would love to have had the room for each sub to have 2 cf, but I didn't have the room for it w/o taking out the back seat and w/a family of 5, that isn't going to happen.

On a side note Mike, I have the wood for the Clarion sub box. I have the pieces laid out on it, all I have to do now is cut and assemble. I will post pics of it in the process if I can remember to take pics during the build.

Edit*, I forgot to add that the box will be 1.45 cf net port tuned to 27 Hz. The local store owner still has a TREO SSi12.44 that we're going to drop into the box I build to get an A/B comparison. We'll see just how good the Clarion sub really is.

so i have my amp have the power wire deck line driver ect im getting my id mids/tweeter
so
i have 1400 rms at 2ohm rms
do i install a jl 13w7
jl 10w7 in the high output oem box
or my 2 treo ssi 12.22 ported box

the best for me as they are in a loaded box would be the treo ssi12.22 than the jl 10w7(have to wait for it)

Im going to try the treo first if its what i need than i will sell the other things
