Post by soundbit »

the specs on the RSDC show it goes down to only 27hz. what does this do to the low freq extention and how the sub get down low with authority.
I am wanting a sub that can low (25-50hz) with authority and accuracy.

will it do it?

In a 1.25cu sealed, I tested mine down to 20hz with test tones and although between 20-25 isn't as loud as 30-35, i didn't feel anything was lacking.
what if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

Would the low end be alittle better in say a 1.5cu. ft sealed box or would that be a little too large?

not too large at all. i ran mine at 1.4 but only because that's all the room i had. my friend ran it before in a 2cf box, still sounded great, but i didnt think it was much better then the 1.4

i like it better....

they play painfully low, and have great extension while doing it. i own 4 of them and wont trade them for any other sub. they play everything i can throw at them
