Bass Cube Remote

Post by tabz24 »

Recently got given a bass cube with no remote, and from reading loads of things on the net it seems as if it won't work without the remote.
I've been searching for a replacement but i've had no luck.

Can anybody tell me where I might be able to buy one please.

I'm new to all of this so sorry if i'm re-posting this.

Thanks :)

Good luck pal. There was a person on the forum that made some and another tech that modified some RF knobs but they are no longer around. Id do a search and see if you can find out more info.

I thought id seen a post about someone making them, but have just been searching and can't find it now.

Shame if the guy stopped making them as there are loads of them selling without the remotes here in the UK

Jason was who made them here. I was lucky and got his 2nd to last one from his final batch. I have the original still and want to buy the dial that push/pulls for on/off and adjusts the output.

iT DOES WORK without remote, you adjust boost under cover, but no variable frequency change.

Lol, not quite.

The remote itself is what turns the basscube on, the cube literally does NOTHING until the control circuits are closed by the remote (via on/off feature).
The long handle dial under the cover controls how much boost the remote can add, it cuts the peak capability of the remote's bass adjustment, it does nothing about actually activating the basscube.
The other pot controls the freq of the subsonic crossover, also does nothing about activating the basscube.

You need a remote to activate the basscube, end of story.

So if someone made a few bass cube remotes, would they be easily sold?
