enclosure building

greetings all......just wondering...im about to build an enclosure for my subs..... 3 * phoenix gold xmax 12 ..... does these need to be seperated in the enclosure og just one big room.....

its up to you. If I remember correctly you get slightly more output with them all in one but if you blow one sub, well then the other two will sound bad. With seperate enclosures you will loose sound but the other two can still play(Assuming your amp is good now with just two).
I am going to do 3 tens if I can get it all to fit and I am doing 3 completely seperate enclosures because the opening to the trunk in my mustang is small and large boxes are a PIA.
