hay guys a bought a zx 350 on ebay a while ago and got it shipped to australia

as always photos look so much better on the internet but apon inspection lots wrong with it

windows have fallen out but can reglue, screws are missing and the paint has lifted of of the bottom of the amp

opening it up found most of the caps are swolen and will need replacing

powered it up only to find nothing happening, did some tests and see voltage is flowing around the board cheaked all transister there ok

so hopping it maybe just the caps need replacing

question 1 cap replacement will any brand of cab do as long as its same rating and height. will it effect the sound of the amp.

question 2 were can i buy parts to fix some of the problems or thinking of just respraying the case in 2 pack or enamal

question 3 what other things should i look, is there any info or links on what to look for

thanks
kedgenz

Welcome to PP.

Most info can be found here, see the post on replacing caps, the part number and link can be found there:

Ebay has replacement hardware for the amp.
Either purchase a new case form a member here (if available) or respray the one you have.
As for ordering parts, Digikey.com or Mouser.com is your friend.

A fairly in depth article about whether different capacitors result in audible differences. I love this guy. Awesome sight with a ton of information on amplifier design, crossover/filter and eq design, and scientific evidence disproving a lot of the snake-oil fuckery in the high end audio world. Highly recommended.

Cliff notes: no, as long as they are of reasonable quality and same spec, there is no audible difference.
