Phoenix Gold Phorum

I just got an elite again and I bought a brand new SPL cone for it. I see it has the same placement of wires just like the stock cone. I pulled out the multimeter, and they all read 4 ohms. There doesn't appear to be any led lights on this cone so does that mean that this is a triple 4 ohm coil?

I did build a nice kerf ported box for my elite. It is 2.7 cubic ft tuned to 30hz and it absolutely gets down! Probably the most insane low end I have ever heard out of a sub. What would be a good SPL box for the SPL cone on this woofer? I wouldn't mind seeing how loud I can go with it.

You may want to try and message brenzbmr@sb through email. Not many people have experience with the SPL Elite but he does. He is very very knowledgeable about the Elite sub in general.

its not anything your gonna like but if you u use that cone change the box.

it will not like that enclosure tuned at 30hz.

also if u want little bit more low end out of your regular cone elite bump the box up to 3.25 and tune it at 30hz.

but iirc the spl cone was like 1.5 tuned at around 50s to 60s. try to get ahold of morgan west he may still have info on the specs.

That spl cone makes the sub entirely different haha. I think there is plenty of low end for me in the current box that it is in. This thing hit deeper than an 18 inch DC Audio Level 4 that I heard. Overall I am super impressed with this tank so far. I will build a different box for the spl woofer when I have some extra time. Is morgan west a guy on here?
