Post by stuartyp »

I'm looking to go 3 way active with no digital processor what would i need.My kit list is

406a, eq 230, ti 900.7 and a 1000.2. I know to use the 900.7 for the front end and the 1000.2 for the sub. But how do i get the mid-bass and mid-range freq's sorted out. Many thanks stuart

I think you could use the x-overs in the Ti amps to sort out the mid/woofer freqs but I might be mistaken.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Usually the biggest hurdle is actively splitting the signal between the tweeter & midrange, because very few Xovers can be set high enough to operate a tweeter's range alone. The Ti amps can, so you just need to research where the best Xover points are for each speaker you have, and play around from there.

For the Ti900.7 Id run tweeters off front channels, mids off rear channels, and midbass off the sub channels.
Throw an eq inline ahead of the 900.7 to spice the sound to taste, and let the 900.7 do everything else.
