215 is just an eq
215x has a cross over built in.
215ix has a cross over as well as a time delayed output to run rear speakers off of it. I use the ix as the heart of my system to break the signal out to the different amps. Great unit if you can get the IX just has more possibilities to what it can do.

Cool cool thanks for the info. I scored one off of ebay a few months back, and was wondering what the difference was.

215x crossover is set using resistor networks or rnets. If you want a different crossover point, you swap out the rnet "chip" for a different value. 215ix has a variable crossover. Much more practical for changing crossover points.

that I didn't know, only had the ix myself. I would recomend it as it fits my needs perfectly.
