After 8 years of abuse, the ol tantrum 200.2 has died. After opening it up I'm wondering how difficult it would be to repair it. I don't have a schematic, but it's clear were it burnt. Any ideas on what part of the amp failed or what happened are greatly appreciated. Was driving a Dual Coil (Series) JL 15w3 bridged. Blue light comes on with remote input, no audio. Sorry for the crappy pics!
It seems like the rail voltage filter section got toast. Its repairable but since its so small its probably better off as a "parts" amp (terminal blocks, screws, mounting clamps, rca jack, ect).
I picked up one from ebay (listed as in good condition, turns out there no audio). So after closer inspection I found an open trace for the protection IC, so I placed a jumper wire and now I get audio on both channels. I'll post pics as soon as I take some. Pretty nice little fella for some mids or tweets (tweets would require active/passive crossover as the amps hi-pass is 125hz), great for mids.
