Refurbishing A ZX950

Post by Eric D »

This is a project I have been working on for a few months now for a forum member. Aside from the obvious cosmetic issues, the boards turned out pretty nice, and now both work as they should...

Very nice work! Sad u won´t see any of it, once the cover is back on the amp. I bet kg will be more than happy with the amps performance, once he´ll install it.

Eric, or anyone else for that matter, where do you get your terminal screws? The only ones I can find are on ebay and I've no way to know if the price they're being sold at is a good deal. I'd like to buy bulk, ~50, maybe 100.

Also, I'm looking for a 5 post terminal strip. It needs to be either 1 of 2 types.

A 5 post exactly like the PG 4 posts on the ZX series amps, or (this one more so) a 5 post exactly like the LANZAR Opti amps from the mid '90s.

Thanks

You can contact Valeks1 ( http://www.altser.com/ ) . I belive he`s the one selling on the bay too...

He is a former tech at Phoenix Gold, so he knows the brand good.

All of my parts are used parts from other amps. I have not come up with sources for new parts on these amps. (Wish I could though).

Sadly, no I don't. Just imagine enough dust and grime to not be able to see all the heatsink parts, and fans so plugged they would hardly spin.
