So i finally got my hu in, it's a DEH P01, jap verson of the 99rs. turn on is fine nice and quiet. turn off is where i'm having a problem. i have turn of poof. i say poof cause it sounds more like a poof then a pop. keep in mind i only have my mids hooked up. checked all my wiring everything is fine. tried a diff turn on/off same thing. remote wire does go through a realy already. pulled the rca's out of the hu and the turn off poof is still there. so should i delay the turn off or am i missing something else?
past info: hu was the same had to sell for some cash. amps were ID 700.2 and 1200.1. mids same. any help appreciated.

are you sure its the amp or the deck? Disconnect the rca's on the amp and then try it and see what happens. Might need to add a time delay to the remote to keep it on just a tad longer.

i would love to hear how such a problem can be solved.....inside the amp.... if this is possible of course...

Cheque your ground. I had a similar problem. It turned out that I did not have a solid connection.

+1
Ive also seen less than ideal ground connections cause similar issues.
If the amp is "poofing" without RCAs connected the issue is at the amp.
& adding a delay to the turn off would be bad, you want amps turned on last & turned off first to eliminate pops or poofs.

my camera on my phone sucks. it's the only thing i have to make a vid. it made my great sounding system sound like garbage.
like i said it's not that loud. that's y i call it a poof. but horns bring out everything in your system so if it's audible enough for me to hear through my mids i know it'll be real bad when i get my horns in.

the mics in camera's are often not good for fidelity recording by any means but that isn't really a big deal in this case. I am sure PG will take care of you though let us know what they find/do.
