what kind of box
i have 2 xmax 12"s gonna put them in a cadillac deville should i go sealed or ported? used to have a pair in a grand cherokee in a sealed box and sounded great

Go sealed for those. I liked my Xmax 12 in a 1.2 cubic ft sealed. Very punchy subs and they get loud!

i had mine in a sealed.....but i my new car i put them in a vented.....my opinion----> in a sealed they give a very good punch...but in a sealed they go a little deeper, but still gives a bit of punch.......

I tried an Xmax in a ported box tuned to 35 hz and it hit pretty hard only on 200 watts. I think two subs being ported is overkill in any system. I guess it depends on if you want to shake concrete or enjoy good sound. I just prefer to go sealed when using more than one sub.
