Re: Help with Tantrum 1200.1
Some mono amps have two positives and two negatives on either the speaker terminals or the power input terminals (mostly on old school amps that had dual ps).
Back to speaker terminals, the two positives are parallel so are the negatives, but now you can run wire from each sub to the amp. . Check with a dmm and you'll see there is continuity between the two positives and between the two negatives.
Hope i was help.

So what u are saying is it's not gonna much matter which ones I hook too right? I'm just using one sub and it wired for a 2ohm load so I just wanted to be sure I don't have to bridge them or something like that?trickyricky wrote:Some mono amps have two positives and two negatives on either the speaker terminals or the power input terminals (mostly on old school amps that had dual ps).

It doesn't matter, i always try to keep the wires far apart in this situation, (use the outer terminals, prevents any shorts between the wires if there's any loose strands. Of course there shouldn't be any loose strands in the first place.)

Sweet thanx. In my case it goes" + + - -" so using the 2 outside ones would be best then right?trickyricky wrote:It doesn't matter, i always try to keep the wires far apart in this situation, (use the outer terminals, prevents any shorts between the wires if there's any loose strands. Yeah. Use proper wire (fork type) terminal ends to prevent any loose strands of wire.
