Re: CES 2013 Sneak Peek ?
its a nice thought but you are basically asking a graduate student the week before finals to give you a few mins of their time. It doesn't get any busier then now trying to get everything ready for it all.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
Re: CES 2013 Sneak Peek ?
Its like good like trying to find a good install shop on the west coast/south west right now as well. Any good shop was contacted up too a year ago to get a build for ces together. The REALLY good shops had that one, and 4 others offered in the last month that have to be done for ces.

Re: CES 2013 Sneak Peek ?
Guys we have a ton of new stuff for this year. Let's start with the Ti2 amplifiers.
These have a very small footprint but deliver a ton of power. The electrical designs are all done in the usa with our electrical engineering team. The full range class D design is really top notch, it uses what we call ADAPT technology. Basically its a rail jumping Class D that jumps up and down to the appropriate voltage rail according to the signal input, very cool. Not to mention a balanced differential front end with very nice Op-Amps. It also uses post filter feedback in the output stage for excellent sound quality. This is one of best (if not the best) sounding full range Class D amplifiers out there.
Also the amplifiers are very conservatively, should we say old school rated. For example the 800.1 is rated at 800w at 1% THD and 14.4 volts. It actually delivers 1150w into that load. The Ti 21600.5 actual power measurements are below, again very conservatively rated.
Sizing:
Ti2 800.1 and Ti2 1000.4 - 11.7” L x 7.1” W x 2.0” H
Ti2 1300.1 and Ti2 1600.5 - 14.4” L x 7.1” W x 2.0” H
Enjoy!
Ti21600.5
Rated Power:
200w x 4 @ 2Ω
125w x 4 @ 4Ω
plus
800w x 1 @ 2 Ω
400w x 1 @ 4 Ω
Measured Power:
250w x 4 @ 2Ω
140w x 4 @ 4Ω
plus
940w x 1 @ 2 Ω
500w x 1 @ 4 Ω
Ti21000.4
250w x 4 @ 2Ω
150w x 4 @ 4Ω
Ti21300.1
1300w x 1 @ 1Ω
900w x 1 @ 2Ω
Ti2800.1
800w x 1 @ 1Ω
600w x 1 @ 2Ω

nice job morgan looks good. I need to hurry up and install my old RSD amps before I start sweating these new amps anymore...

Re: CES 2013 Sneak Peek ?
If its class d with voltage adjust... Whatr the odds of getting more voltage to run subs at 2/4/6 ohm impedances and still make rated power instead of this 1ohm crap. (Xenon style, maybe a switch to set max voltage instead of sense? With thermal/current detection to drop voltages if people get a bit too gutsy)
I've always felt that anything running at 1 ohm tends to sound a bit muddier than at 4. My ti800.1 sounded a lot louder at 1 ohm, but worlds cleaner at 4. Same subs, same enclosure.
Maybe next year. Not like I'm in the market for any new amps these days anyways. Unless someone has a Ti800.1AL or a 500.4AL they're looking to part with.

Re: CES 2013 Sneak Peek ?
Morgan, any additions to the Elite speaker line? Perhaps dual 2 ohm 10" and 12" subs that can run singly off of the 2 and 5 channel Elite amps?
I need a dual 2 ohm 10" Elite pretty bad. Fingers crossed.

Re: CES 2013 Sneak Peek ?
With the re-vamp of the Ti line amps to be full range class D and compact, what does this mean for the SD line? Seems like the Ti line is becoming what the SD line is/was. Are they going to replace the SD's, or are they just going be a higher grade of amplifier?

Re: CES 2013 Sneak Peek ?
hmmm ti going to full range class D. no more Triple-Darlington output.

good job pg.

That's the biggest news out of the show, along with the Bluetooth compatible amp mentioned in the other thread.

Re: CES 2013 Sneak Peek ?
What rock have I been living under? It took me 2 months to discover this thread and realize PG has even more fun in store for us this year.
These new amps look to be a great step in the right direction. Very small size with plenty of power. So long as they still sound as good as the other PG lines, these could be excellent choices for many people.

Got "schooled" by member shawn k on May 10th, 2011...
No longer really "in tune" with the audio industry, and probably have not been for some time.
Hands down the forum's most ignorant member...
Don't even know what Ohm's law is...

funny enough I just saw that the company that makes my air-ride came out with a smart phone app for their systems. Thought I would have seen it but....
