Elite 12d box question

For those who arnt fimilar with the elite 12d box specs:

1.75 tuned to 36 hz for spl
3.0 tuned to 30 hz for sq

Now my question is, if i built a box that is 1.75 cf tuned 30 hz, would it sound like complete doo-doo. My new car rear seats do not fold down, and i dont know if a 3.0 tuned to 30 hertz would actually fit in the trunk, without having to build the box inside the trunk itself.

Keep in mind that ill probably be running a single ti2500.1 with a basscube for the most part. Im looking more into the sq side than the spl side. Ill probably cross the sub over at 40ish hz.

I might strap two ti2500.1 together. I jus wanna have some serious sound quilty, and have enough balls to actually enjoy the elite, when im crusing on the freeway

You are forgetting the "normal" enclosure, which is 2.25 ported at 33hz. It will sound really good there if you can fit that. 1.75 will probably sound pretty good too, it just won't get down on the low end like it would in the bigger boxes, but it'd also be loud as hell in the small box. I guess it depends on if you are listening to a lot of electronic music frequencies below 35hz. If you don't, then I wouldn't hesitate to go small.

I guess im gonna have to build the 1.75 tuned to 36 and see how it sounds, i just dont like voices in the sub, but if the box isnt what im looking for, atleast my boy can possibly sling it in his stereo shop

Not entirely out of the question is the idea of going SQ sealed. Won't get as loud, but it will be clear, and if you put the full 1600 to it, it'll still be pretty damn loud.
