Phoenix repair service

Im fixing to send off the QX4150 I bought.The rear channels are out. Anyone know what I can expect in terms of repairs. I mean do they just fix whats wrong or do they go through the whole thing check it all out and replace all the caps?

If you're sending it to Valeks1 (Alek) he will repair what is wrong, add updates and repair whatever else he finds as well as test it on the audio spectrum analyzer. If the caps need replaced he will also do that, but if YOU want them replaced, you need to let him know and I don't think it's an additional cost, but check with whom ever you're sending the amp too for repair.

I was planning on sending it to Phoenix Gold. I was trying to find out what all is included in the price for non warranty repair.
Who's Alek and where is he located? Does he have much experience and are his prices reasonable?

he was pgs tech when they were in portland. he probably has more experience than anyone with qx's 8)

Alek still works for PG as a repair tech as well as Audio Source and any other PG related products. Alek knows his shit and is the only person I would trust / have trusted to repair several PG amps of mine. Check the link in the previous post from bfowler and pull up the pg repair list, it'll state what all's covered. ")
