MS275 & MS2125 vs Xtant ..... yea, again.

My other post with a similar title ... well, it went a totally different direction.
I may just be OVER thinking things. BUT here's my quandry:
I have an Xtant 603x ... been planning to use this amp for some many years now. (75x2 + 150x1 all 4ohm)
Well, I've come across an Xtant 1001x ... now thinking to slave this off the 603x for subs. (2 Alpine TypeR 8" subs)
Of course i stumble across this magnificent PG Phorum and BAMM, i'm lovin it!!!
Ok, reading more and more about the old-school MS amps, i've found a nice little pair locally for sale.
MS275 and the MS2125 (simple, elegant, clear, legendary).
To buy these and use thes 2 amps rather than fork out more for another Xtant.
This is my quandry!!!
Questions or ANY input would be appreciated.
Thanks, y'all.

I think I responded to your last discussion of this, but here is my feeling on it again...
Xtant has some very good sounding amps, and they have great features. But, they have a lot of switches, jumpers, and whatnot in them, and therefore have pretty poor reliability.
I have fixed some Xtant amps before which had a channel cut out at random on their owners. The issues always boiled down to the jumpers loosing contact.
Even if someone GAVE me a pair of mint condition Xtant amps, I would never install them. I would keep them on a shelf as collector items, as they are very nice to look at and I like the design of them.

Hmmm...
Friend had a 603x and it was sweet. Thus one reason for picking one up, years back.
Now with a new ride, a wee bit of $ i'm jones'n to get a system running again.
SO, your input? snag the MS amps rather than the additional Xtant
Thanks.

Pretty sure the majority here will vote MS. Even if there is no Xtant hate, remember where you are at! We might be a little biased.

Which format would be the safest AND best way to run the MS2125?
Bridged 4ohm vs 2ohm...
I read that 2ohm - they get toasty hot and need fan-age!!
Remember - I plan running 2 Alpine typeR 8"
BTW, I've been wondering, what's the basic equation is for figuring the impedance of multiple speakers/subs?
If I have a 2ohm and a 4ohmr: equation is ... ?
If I have a 3ohm and a 4ohm: ....................... ?
Thanks again and again!!!

Fu-get-about it!!!
I stumbled across a guy who's gonna sell me his 1600.5 ti - I'm more than stoked!!!
Not only am I a newbie to the PGphorum - I'm new to the products. I'm a fan from what I remember hearing back some 20+ years ago and NOW seeing and reading how big the fan base is - WOW!!!
Thanks y'all.
