Do you have the manual? There is a diagram that will help you, yes you will need to use either the auxillary output of the EQ or of an amp (if applicable) depending on how you decide to install. Good luck and welcome to the forum!!

The 215x will only split it 2 ways. If you have a deck with a sub out you can use that to control its volume/freqs usually or else you will need to split the low output of the 215x with another cross over somewhere. If your amps have the ability to daisy-chain them(IE has an RCA input and output on it) you might be able to do it that way.

A two way system normally has one freq that the woofer plays under, and the weeter plays over. A 3 way set will have 2 freqs for the 3 speakers. If that is what you mean?

To run an active system you need to have stereo channels for each of the pairs of speakers to be played so you have to have 3 amps for a 3 channel system. Again if the amps have an RCA input/output and internal cross overs you can do this with the equipment you have otherwise you will need a different cross over, or a 2nd one. I am running an active 3 way system in my mustang with the old Ti Elite 3 ways(9-5-1) but I am doing it because I found a cool 3-way cross over that was basically made to do this on these speakers. The cross over though is a 1-off piece that use to be in an old PG show car that rane made for pg, with pg's design on the outside. 3 way cross overs are not all that common otherwise unless you get up into the high end digital eq's like the bit1.
