The Absolute Gold A23 isn't mine but I found this info on the A23:

Back in around 1993 I had just begun reviewing for Hot4s while working during the day at Strathfield Car Radios. These horrible things kept arriving for stock and we were encouraged to sell them. They don't even feature a mosfet power supply (you know, like even head units have nowadays) and when I bench tested one for laughs in Hot4s it made something like 15WRMS per channel!
I got in a bit of trouble with SCR management at the time because in my review I called the Absolutle Gold A23 an 'absolute piece of s%$t'!
Ah the memories...."
