I used this combo on my Wrx rear deck a while back, worked very well. I put the dynamat down on the sheetmetal, and then the Ensolite over it. This made for a pretty thick layer of material and the rear deck didn't quite sit as flush to the rear window as it did prior.
Now that I have the Sti and need to redo the job, I am wondering if you guys think it would be a problem to put the dynamat on the sheet metal but the Ensolite on the plastic rear deck. Will the combo still work as well if it's not layered like the first time?

sounds like they are layed up the same way as far as the layers are concerned with just the foam on the plastic?
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
