S***, he'll be lucky if he even has back seats. Four Stroker 18's would take about 18 cubes before ports wouldn't they?

I just remembered I posted on this topic.. I finally just got back all my amps from Phoenix along with those 18's.. They are dual voice coils.. Heavy as shit too.. They are in plastic still.. I had to open one..

Do you really think I need to put 1 MSK per sub? I was thinking 1 would be good for 2 subs if it worked rite.. I'm going to start really coming up with a plan.. Maybe I'm trying to do too much.. I have 4 kicker XPL 15's that are brand new that might be better.. I originally planned for the 15's, but got a deal on the 18's and remember back in the day hearing a car with 1 that was insane..

The 18 inch stroker was an amazing sounding sub and I believe I had approx 1200rms ish of power from a MTX amp which fed it to 140+ db. I was ultra impressed with the tightness of the sound. I believe in the dual spider design they had which gives it a sound no other 18 can give.

This was the realisation to me that the stroker broke the rules when it comes to how big subs sound. Although for the space that that box took up. Better as my home subwoofers. I do wish.

Like to pick some up in the future. Consider me if you sell later on.

For your situation you could power them from whatever you want. They 800wrms each coil yes?

The result is questionable relatively to the amp.

Did they break records at one stage?

Strokers have never been known to like low power amps, which would normally be enough to power the hell out of other subs. They are not efficient so you will be wise to throw as much power to them as you can or you will probably regret it. Klicker - there is another brand known for efficiency - between klicker 15 and stroker 18 I would stroke it myself

I don't know about breaking records, but they were big in the early SPL competitions in the mid/late 90's. I think they were the first to utilize dual spiders iirc. Now you have subs with quad spiders.....

Someone just posted a listing for a "one" that should have enough power to push some strokers. Maybe.....

you can't get much more old school then strokers but I think you should bring a little bit of modern to them and punish the hell out of them(and your eardrums).
