Ti 1000.2 over heating?

Ok I bought this amp about a year ago on here from a good member. Now I just hooked it up now in my F250. I have it mounted under the rear seat like most other truck owners do. Now after 10 mins or so it will shut down for 30 seconds or so then come back on. I felt it and it was really hot. I now have ran it with the rear seat up so it can get all the fresh air it needs and it runs fine untill I turn up the music loud. then same thing after 5 or 10 mins it gets hot. Now both fans work all the time and the amp settings are not turned up not even half way. Any ideas?

What ohm load are you running? Stereo or bridged?

I should also mention I am only running 4 gauge right now and at idle in traffic with music turned up I get low on my voltage display. Im upgrading to 0 gauge soon.
I have it bridged at 2ohm

what would be the best way to wire up the amp and my subs? I Have the Ti 1000.2 and have two xenon 10D4 subs

If those are dual voice coil with the coils in parallel, and the subs in parallel, you are running at 1 ohm, and that completely explains the issues you are experiencing. Try putting the coils in series, and then parallel the subs back down to 4 ohm.

yea as he said with two dual 4 ohm subs you can't get a 2 ohm mono load.
