Your thoughts on a 3-way

I'm for it if my wife is and I know just the girl from work too.
I had this thought today and I'm courious as to everyones input/thoughts.
There's enough room in the door of my truck where the factory speakers are at to fit 2 mids. So I'm thinking of switching the set up of my fromt stage. Now I'd use the ZX450v2 that I have to push the set up like so. Get RSD6 comps and find that RSD 3" that everyone talks highly of and use the tweet and 3" mid on the RSD xover on chs 1 and 2 on the 450 and use chs 3 and 4 on the RSD 6" mids. So the freq set up would be something like this.
tweet: 2500Hz < whatever the RSD passive xover is, and up
3" mid (possably a 4"????) 300 Hz to 2500 Hz, again whatever the RSD xover is.
6" mid: 300 Hz down to 63 Hz
Any thoughts or comments. I'm very pleased w/my Dynaudio's, but would love to have a 3-way.
The ZPA0.3 would then hang on the wall in my bed room.

w/ your dyns IMO that woofer is not the best in the higer freq ranges. Those big voice coils just dont cut it for the midrange. I've used both the dyn 240 and dyn 340 set up and lets say the 3-way IMO was far better.
As for three way vs 2-way thats a whole different deabte....Ive done many of both and find up and downs in both, yet right now I am very pleased with my seas 2-way set up even though it simply cant far the sheer volume output or dynamics of a three way system, yet the imaging and sound stag eis far mor realistic and trandparent.

Yeah, but then she bought in his words, "a big giant horse cock" and divorced him.
Funny thing is he got stuck with the credit card it was paid for with.
In all seriousness though, I have always wanted to try a three way set up, and have wondered if it is worth the extra money and planning it would take over a simple two way set. I have honestly never even listened to a car with a three way setup in it.
Do you guys that have three way setups think they are better sounding then a higher end two way setup, or is there very little difference for the extra money?

I would suggest a 3 way , but not both drivers (mid and bass ) in the same door, seperate them if u can , mid in the kick works well with midbass in the door, I have my midbass in my floors firing up , x-overd @ 200Hz and down.
But found a lot more sub up front effect with them there, and the midrange in the kicks meant my stage was not compromised with TA

^^^ That's pretty much the plan I had for my truck. Funny how things never really turn out.

usually the rule of thumb IMO with a three way and keeping it semi-stock is...
tweets pillars, mids kicks, mid bass doors
After reading up on hardcore compeitors Ive found this is prob the best...
Tweets and mid close together and higher the better prob in the custom dash and the mids in the kicks.

I have a catalog that I'll have to look through. Don't care for the looks of either one of thier dome midranges, but moreso they look to have a deep mounting depth for there size. I'd prefer a 4" IF I don't go w/the PG 3". I'm in no real hurry so I can wait a month or two.
