how do the RSD comps sound compared to past PG comps?

I am thinking about getting a second set of comps and the only thing out there that I can find are RSD's or Octane Z R sets...

how do they all compare including the ugly Xenon comps?

if anyone has some for sell let me know..

I've never heard The Xenon comps, but I love my RSD's. I've not heard better speakers for the money.

RSd are better than either.

The only downfall I am aware of in the set is in the 300hz range which is a bit slow, however this was on a brand new set which had not broken in yet and from my understanding they sound even better after a few hours of use.

errin, how would RSD compare to Ti comps , will there be a significant difference in sound quality movin from rsd65cs to Ti 6 comps ?

not that significant. i think the ti's sound more natural all accross the board, but the rsd's are close enough to the point where i was a little bummed that i paid about 4 times more for the ti....

rsds seems to en route becoming another legendry PG stuff isnt it...
price wise at least.

anyone know if PG is workin on any other product line higher than RSD ?

How do the RSD's compare to the Xetec or whatever they are ...model...XTEC 6.5 .....I got an offer to buy a set of these for $100 shipped but I dont know much about them other than former PG guys designed or whatever....

I need to make a choice as I have decided to buy another set of comps ...and not buy any more amps ..well try not to...

I dont know if I would put the rsds that close to the elites, but to each his own. The elites are much much more natural sounding, and smooth. Not even in the same leauge.

they can be "boomy" IMO down low but they put a shit load of bass out.

Close... the tweet on the Ti is a little better but that RSd tweeter is quite crisp. The mid range on the ti elite is anything but natural that god damn big voice coil sucks for mid range compared to the higher end speakers. The ti elite may be more towards a "audiophiles" taste in th emid range but the RSD is far better for some one who likes to crank it up and jam out the their music. The midbass on the ti tlite if its not in and enclosure isnt the while the RSD pounds maybe to much.

The elites overall are better than the rsds. Crossover by far, woofer by far, powerhandling, ect. You tend to stretch things out a bit dubs.

blah...you need the dome midrange for that. To be honest for the price IMO the dyn two way is nice but not worth the money they ask for.

Ive owned the Infinity Kappa 6.5", PG xenon 6.5", Dyn MW160, Ti Elite 6m, Rsd 6.5cs, Seas Excel Nextel 6.5", and now the Scan Speak 18w rev.

The ti elite and dyn are both very "colored" which is liked by many but is def not a natural sounding woofer when compared to the Seas Excel or Scan Speak Rev. Is the ti elite woofer better then the rsd woofer...yes but but both have their place. Like I said before I see the ti elite a great choice for someone looking for that colored sound that morel and dyn has always offered via those larger VC. When properly installed though those big VC are awsome at handling power and midbass. The rsd is great little woofer that is quite effecient, sounds amazing, and can throw some output out down low in that midbass region (maybe not the most accurate but it can put out)

As for the crossover how do you know its better? Im not saying its not but I would love an explanation...
