2004 era Titanium 10" sub question

Post by Landcruiser »

I was wondering what kind of real world experience you guys had with the Titanium subs. They spec out nicely, and call for pretty tiny enclosure sizes also. Thanks.

Have ran TI10's in many ...many, many, many applications and is one of my all time favorite sub. I usually run sealed and just removed 2 of them running in a .06cuft^3 sealed for each sub and had people asking me if they were 12's ...very tight sq bass in a sealed enclosure.

Good deal, thanks for the helpful info. Did you mean .6 cubes per sub? Do they need a ton of power to work well? Cheers.

Sorry ...yes. .6 per sub  and ran the last set up off a JL Audio 500/1v2 and they pounded  . Each sub is rated at 450wrms and 600 peak from what I remember, but they aren't power hungry as most people would think. A good 250 - 400wrms on each sub and you'll be suprised and very ...very happy ...I know I was.

You guys rock, thanks! Any idea on what a fair price to pay for a pair in good shape might be?

.75 for a pair of them, or per sub? Thanks.

Between $150-200 for the pair and make sure of the models you get as they came in svc and dvc versions for different wiring options. Glad Drock and I could help out. 8)

They are one of the nicer pg subs but never did anything for me
They were just above average at it time.
150-200 a pair is about right
There was a set local for sale 100 for the pair of 10's but would not work with my set up
most of my gear is gone :liar:

I was also wondering about people's take on the Xenon 12's, and also the old Xmax 12's, as far as Sq an output go. Sorry for all of the questions, these are subs that I never got a chance to listen to before.

I never really liked the xenon woofers. Too much low end for me personally. You need a monster mid bass up front for anything to blend right. The xmax subs are awesome for spl. I had one in a ported box around 2 cubes tuned to 34 hz and it was awesome! Very boomy but very loud in that box. I also had that same xmax in a 1 cubic ft sealed box and it was very punchy but had great sq. I would take an xmax over the xenon any day.

Thanks very much for the info, that helps a lot! I had read on here about there being issues with the V1 XMAX line, not sure how to tell if the sub is a V1 or V2 though.....
