OEM Integration

Post by AVICJR »

Anyone have any experience with the new AudioControl DQ-61? Ease of use? What about the JL Clean Sweep? Or any other suggestions?

Installing in a 2012 Nissan with factory HU.

TIA

BUMP!!

I'm leaning heavily towards the AudioControl DQ-61 but worried about it being too complicated to tune. Thoughts??

I have been looking at the same unit. I have also considered the bit 10 and the 6 to 8 by Mosconi. I like the other two for the digital interface and more EQ bands; however, the simplicity of the audio control is that you never have to worry about a laptop for software going out of date.

Avoid the cleansweep. Had it and it sucks. I've never tried the audiocontrol unit (not that one at least) but I am currently using a JBL ms-8. It's good at what it does. It's simple and produces great sound. The only drawback is that it adds a 8ms delay, so if you are using the Bluetooth built into your car for the phone it will give an echo effect to whomever you talk to. Drives my wife up the wall.

You want to check whatever unit you use to make sure it doesn't add a delay.
A few of these and a few of those.
