I am still using that X800 in my truck. It works great, and sounds great too.

the exile HQ is in north portland, if you needed someone to buy some gear from them let us know. the exile forum is probably a good bet too. just let them know you don't have a local dealer, they are pretty accommodating.

I think they compare well to a Tantrum amp, but that is really just an opinion.

They use top notch parts like a PG Xenon amps, but they have lower quality circuit boards and connectors. These items are by no means junk, they are as good or better than a lot of amps out there, but they just don’t stack up against the top of the line amps. Keep in mind the pricing is only a fraction of the top of the line amps.

My only gripe with my X800 is the size. It is a wee bit big. But, it is not that big, and it is hardly warm to the touch after a lot of listening. That is well worth it too me.

I, also, have the X800.4 Plenty of power for the Xtecs...although Morgan thought I should bridge it to power them. :)

It sounds great with the Xtec speakers. I havent heard any other speakers on it, so I really cant compare it to anything. But I am super happy with it, and for the price, I doubt it could be beat by any other new amp out there.

Like Doc said, it is a bit big, but it looks good, runs cool, and you can take it apart and custom paint all the separate trim parts to get a really one-off look if you wanted.

I thought the multichannel amps were too large as well.. seems like alot of sqft for the power. However, I think it was done more so for sink area (and likely even more to have them match up to the mono blocks in form)

Bing from diyma just did an install with those amps. I got to listen to it and they are pretty impressive to say the least. They appear to be highly underrated.

The install kind of sucked though...typical Bing fashion
