I have been putting together a old school phoenix system and now that I have most everything .I have a few questions. All of this is going into a 98egale talon with air ride suspension.
Front stage
2 kef 6.5 " 4ohm
1kef 5.25" 4 ohm
1usd 4" 4ohm
2 kef 1"tweeters
In each door
Rear
1 klipch 8" 6ohm
1" tweeter
Each side
Subs
8 alpine type r 10s duel 4 ohm
Amps
2 Ms 275 one to each rear
2 mPS 2240 one to each front door at 1 ohms
2 Ms 2125 1 to each set of 4 10s at 1/2 ohm
I also have a eq215 or Rockford symetry but not sure which to use
I have read that these amps will handle just about any ohms load u can throw at them even as low as 1/4 ohms .but u have to keep them cool. I have 4 squirrel cage fans to keep them cool. Is this true .the way I have figured my set up is this a ideal set up or should I change it. And before any of it goes into the car I need to have all the amps but 1 recapped do u have any suggestions on who I can have do the work and im looking for a 20farad cap bank also. Please give suggestions on any thing this is gonna be my biggest installation and a prize winner hopefully so any input would be appreciated

I wouldn't run the MS275's or MS2125's under 4 ohm bridged due to heating issues. The MS amplfiers were not made to be run at low impedances and you will not gain much power wise by running them at 2 ohms bridged. The MPS series ARE however made to be run at low impedances and you should have no problem running the MPS2240 at 1 ohm bridged. If you are planning on running such low impedances, I'd trade out your MS amps for some MPS amplifiers. Take a look here:
http://www.phoenixphorum.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3043 to look up the specs on amplifiers and see what they are capable of.

when did alpine type r become old school? you will kill the amps running any pg amps at 1/4ohm it will see a dead short
ms amps are nice but like said in the last post don't do lower than 2ohm and cooling if you want your system to last any time(4ohm bridged) is needed for long term. also don't type r like a ton of power? the amps you list are mostly the small pg amps

you're going totally wrong with the ms2125 amps.... the best way u can use them, feeding 4 dvc subs,
or, wire all the coils in parallell, giving the amp a load on each channel (left and right) of 1 ohm.....
so you put 2 subs on the left and 2 subs on the right channel........
what i would do here , even better,
wire all the coils (of the 4 subs) first in series, so at 8 ohm, then parallell the 4 subs, coming to a load of
2ohms brigded on the ms2125..... but you're gonna need to fan cool the heatsink (build a fan shroud)
and a stout electrical system to feed the amps the current they needs.......voltage drops and to much heat
will kill them !!!!!
what i do like is the idea of using one mps2240 for left and an other one for the right....
same story in the rear, although i think the rear speakers will be a waste of time with 8 subs behind them.......
i would let the rear speakers out of it and use the ms275 amps together with the mps amps all for the front......
you will have more possibilities (and power) to make a better front setup......

What I don't get is in the manual for the ms275 /2240 it states that PG MS amps were designed with the best powersupplys on the market and that unlike other amps they can handle any ohms rating u can throw them although they cannot fully double there power and that the ms275 is capable of 1ohm and 2240 1/4 ohms,. As for the ms2125 the manual states 2ohm unrated but have heard that people have run them as low as 1/2 to 1/4 ohms and produce in excess of 1200watts that it's a beast and one of the best amps ever built still today .that's the main reason I choose these amps I also was a big PG fan back during the Ms time period but couldnt afford them back in my teens and we'll they are slot more affordable now.
So I think I've decided to just go with four 10s instead to not drive the 2125 to hard and if I drop down to just four 10s should I keep my rear fill or still get rid of it or move among and speakers to front stage and what combo should I use

it is better to put just 4 subs, giving them enough power, then putting in 8 subs and underpower them.......
if you would put 4 subs on a ms2125, they will get less then 200Wrms apiece........
both the ms275 and ms2125 can handle a brigded load of 2 ohm, but to play loud for a longer time you'll gonna
need some fans and shroud to keep them cool and make sure they get the currents they pull !!!!!!!!!!!!!
but the main answer is, if you want a beautiful sound, go for the ms amps... if you wanna pound hard, to blow
the back window out, go class D.....u can still use the ms2125 for speakers then.............
