So i noticed today that my amp's fan is missing a blade. I found it about 6" away from the fan it's self . was easy to see because of the pleci glass top on "the One" . Now it seems i have to open this amp up and change the fan . So my problem is getting the same fan put back in . Any one know where to get it and what model it is ?

Am pretty sure the fan it self has a label with model number on it. Other wise take measurements and order an exact size fan, make sure you check the current draw/air flow and the noise/db....don't want a noisy fan now do you, unless the amp is going in the back then get one that can really push some air (may be loud, just make sure it doesn't pull a lot of current).

Yea the label should have the brand and model number. Then you can search for it on mouser, parts-express, digikey, or even eBay (but make sure it's new). Some of the variables to watch out for are width, length, and thickness. Also current, voltage (needs to be 12 volt), bolt hole location, and motor type (brushless, ball bearing) make a difference. If you can't get the original model number then try to get those specs and match it. The value of the amp will be effected if you ever sell to a collector, they would want the original fans in it.

I got the amp brand new when it was first leased. Not to sure when the blade broke off or how . I emailed PG and told them of the newley noticed issue . Also wrote here to see if anyone on here knew the exact model number ect. I did just upgrade from the ddz to 2 aq's but dont see how that would matter . maybe after a few years the fan gets brittle from the heat source under it ?

Lol. I'm scared to use mine. I need either three more elites or some subs that can handle a lot more power.

The fan is 60mm x 60mm x 10mm with 12v 200ma.

Something similar to this will work fine. Different fans have different air flow volumes.

However, this fan is just insurance to get some air moving around the output filters, it doesn't need to be really high air flow.

Thank you ,Morgan ..

so if it's 5mm thicker that shouldn't matter either right ? cause the fan is not really close to the glass top so there is room . Found this one here on e bay. But I think the PG amp repair place is going to send me one already . Got an e mail from them today . http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-Cooling-Fan- ... 4ac5c00b09

I would buy a Sunon fan if you don't get a new one from PG. That's what was used in McIntosh amps, so if it's good enough for those it should be good enough for PGs. The specific model that were used in my McIntosh is no longer being made, but you can find one that meets the specs that Morgan supplied, I'm sure.

Did you replace it with an original one or did you go with the thicker fan?
