How do these Exile Xtec 65 comps compare to the Elites?

I had a nice bitch of a time to get my Elites in my front doors and luckily I didnt modify the door any...its supposed to fit 6.5 fine but the basket on the Elites are a little large...anyhow

I got a set of Exile Xtec 65 components on the way that I got for no reason other than needed a good set in case something fugged up on the Elites...like another tweeter....

SO after reading some off the Exile forum I was wondering how these sound compared to the Elites...? I was so close to buying a set of RSD's but read some good reviews on the Exiles so I got them cause they looked to be built better...but then again...I didnt spend lots of time researching....guy came off price $50 for the set so I jumped on it...

I may put the Exiles in the door if they fit the stock brackets and put the Elites in the back doors...or sell them or something else.....who knows....

I will make that decision when I get them.....

XT65s have been huge success for us.

I can honestly say, I have not had a single complaint or disappointed customer concerning sound and build quality. The Elites are awesome speakers in their own right, their motor structure on the mid is a bit more cutting edge if you have extra power to push them.

As far as tweeter, I would take the XT65s. The sound is nearly identical, but old Elite tweeters were not most reliable.

The elites are a much better set, i dont even see why they are being compared here. The xtecs however did sound good. Great set for the money, no doubt. I had a set in my old car, and they performed quite nicely.

They are being compared here cause I already have a set of Elites and I just bought a set of the Exile Xtec 65's .....

I basically didnt want to have a pair of crap speakers installed in same car as the expensive ass Elites...

I really dont know why you had to add that little remark....

It wasnt a comparison per say it was more a ..." I have this already and is this going to be a big downgrade type of deal "

IT wasnt a direct one on one comparison.....

Add what little remark? nothing i said was out of line or uncalled for. I stated my opinion, take it for what its worth. Both sets are nice, but the elites are in another class.

If you are so sure of this Ill set up a little test to see which driver is better and well see the truth. All I need is a xtec set and ti elite set to be tested, and well really see which woofer and tweeter is better.

Im sure morgan or gent will be willing to lend a set for the a kippel test....Mack can we use your ti elite set. Hell well find an RSd set also.

Lets do this as there no point in arguing with you as you never back anythign up with anyhting but because I said so...which proves nothing so lets get these puppies tested and well see which is the best.
