somebody can give me a link where i could find the correct fuse for an M25

size is 6 x 25mm, 25A slow blow type of course......

i only find 30-32mm of lengths at the moment............

found this in 25A also.

the owners manual says 30A, the shematic i have says 25A.........

if somebody can give me a correct answer on this, just blow the wissle...........

What was the value of the original one (the one that was in the amp)?

If its a Series II than a 30amp fuse is suggested, if its the first series (smaller transformer) than a 25amp fuse is suggested.

it is a route 66 amp, it had a 25A fuse in it......so i'm going to replace it with a 25A........

inside route 66 amps, are they all series I maybe ??

What number does the transformer have? Thats one way to tell, but am assuming its a Series II, because the first had the power wires and dont see why they would use the smaller transformers on the M25 for the route66.

Yep, just what I thought...that's a Series II. You can use a 25amp fuse and you should be okay, but if for some reason you pop it very soon, I would go with a 30amp fuse.

The transformer number is what tells it all. I believe Eric explained it on his website (buggy's), I'll look for the link.

But all Series II have that transformer 9005.0035


Yes the Rev board tell you something, there will be updates/revisions made to the design so the board has to be upgraded/revised. One revision that is clearly noticeable is the four diodes that are together by the power supply, the later revision boards added a ceramic cap and large resistor (I believe 91ohm) parallel to the diodes. This goes for the MS amps as well...you just have to look at different revisions to notice the difference (added or removed components).

i understand what you mean.... but the resistors you say are R21/R22, and on the shematic and in the later revisions they are 470 ohm....
in a couple of my M25 boards they still were 330ohm so i replaced those with a 470 ohm/5W model, away from the board.......

the 91 ohm resistor are the ones in the M44 board....... (they don't get hot, they just COOK in there......)


can you tell the number of the series I transformer ??

Here's a pic of an early M25 (series I), notice how the transformers are different....one has a shield (with the 9005.035) the early one doesn't.





I can't tell you the number because I haven't had a series I in front of me to document.

i checked in 3 of my 4 route 66's amps and all are series II boards, the 4th is normally also the same i should check again.......

i have one M25 amp and that is a series I based on the transformator.....

i had a benchtest on it months ago

2x 4 ohm = 2x 52w rms

1x 4 ohm = 1x 122w rms

1x 2 ohm = 1x 140w rms

at 13.8V

so the series II will probably give a little bid more power...........haven't tested them yet
