Just scored this...

So I got all of this for $80 shipped. Good deal? And no, it's not for sale. If I let anything go from it I already have someone interested in the stuff that I'd consider letting go of.

Those cables alone I would have paid $80 for as I have 4 cables. Two are new in package and two are used but look great. The RMD is brand new in the box, and the ZBS4 is something that I had heard about but never knew of one for sale. TBAt I have a black one already but I got it for free because it was blown. I've been repairing it. It now I have a board to swap in if my repairs don't work.

Nice. I think that's the rmd that works with the octane.

your thinking of the SDT. That is different, this is just the standard rmt.

Man it's hard to remember the display that goes to the amp. There are too many.

What's the sdt? Any pictures?

I just like having an older rmd NIB for my collection. I doubt I'll use it.

Oh and here's a better picture of the balanced splitter.

What is the ZMX? I know the other 2 series amps that the rmd works with but not that line.

And I just scored this off eBay. Depending on it's condition I might not update it to v2, I might just replace the bad resistor and it's caps and see how it sounds. It appears like it might have the crossover card in it. I can't wait to see more as the seller never added more pictures.

I think it would look great in my car paired with a green terroid zpa0.5.

There wasn't one specifically for the octane but the r-link/sdt would hook into it. The display was made by Dakota digital and would tell the ti amps thermal status as well. I don't have a pic on me at the moment but I have an extra sdt/r-link combo if someone is looking for one.

The other piece is just a splitter for the balanced cables.

Yup, just a splitter, but I still don't see them too often. I don't really see a use for it unless someone plans to use it after a crossover to run multiple amps for one frequency range. I guess it could also be used before he crossover to run multiple crossovers but then that just seems like a crazy system...a 6 way system or more.

if your running balanced outputs, with out it you would need a transmitter for each rca you wanted to switch to balanced.

I kind of get it but not really. What other amps take that balanced input? The ZPA amps are the only ones I know of with that plug, and they don't have a crossover in them, so you would need a crossover, correct? The splitter has 1 input and 4 outputs, but the zpx2 has 1 input and 3 outputs, I guess I don't see the scenario where your need the splitter unless you ran the crossover cards in the ZPAs (which I understand failed often) or you used another amp that has a built in crossover.

the zpa's are the only amp I know of that used it. Been a long time since I messed with one but I thought they had the cross over cards or rnets can't remember really. Not many people used the balanced stuff so it didn't last long.

They had crossover cards but I understand that they had lots of problems. The crossover cards are so rare, I have not gotten my hands on one, all of he ZPAs that I have came with the delete cards, so no built in crossover. I also see that the zpx2 crossovers are rare (balanced active crossovers) so I agree that people don't use the balanced much.

I think the ZBS4 was made thinking people would use balanced a lot more, but in reality I doubt many were sold. I haven't seen or heard of any before this. I am just trying to get all of the products that PG offered around the ZPA amps, despite how useless or rare they are.
