Non pg amp resto project

Post by Weaklink »

Recently picked up a memphis belle mc1300d(the "big" belle). Amp lights up and then cycles in and out of protect. I think it's when the class d side powers up. Board looks good but haven't taken it all the way out yet. I remember the old memphis gear being pretty good stuff. I'll update progress as I go along. Any thoughts on the old memphis gear?

It's tough to tell from the lighting in the picture. Check the theme sensors, there's usually at least one that's attached to the heat sink. It might be bad or have a loose lead which is causing the issue. It also could be something in the power supply. Make sure that all gate resistors are good. If anything has been tampered with I'd start there.
A few of these and a few of those.

You've checked that none of the outputs are shorted?
