Octane LE

Post by vwdude »

So this just arrived and I'm trying to figure out what "number" it is. I don't see an original serial number unless the one I see is it...

Btw I know it's not the original box, but that is the way to ship an amp...

I didn't realize how big this thing is... That other amp is a behemoth 2' long ppi amp

And the serial number...

Glad you liked the box. Last thing I wanted was for it to get damaged. It's a beast of an amp. Hope you enjoy it.

Oh yea I really like e box. I'm probably going to take the concept and run with it. I think I'll line thin side wth soundproof foam and maybe decorate the outside of the box a little.

I'll do more research to figure out the deal with the amp.

Are those extra rail caps in the middle? The wiring suggests they are.

That's how these amps came. I think it's something like the ti powercore with a basscube under it. Cool amp for sure. I know that the early ones had blue caps that were faulty but I understand that the black ones were ok. Also the ps caps look to be other than HFZ series (those were dark blue with gold stripes) so they are probably ok too.

I'll test the amp after I move but it will likely get displayed along side my ZPA amps and crossovers/processors.

I to thought it was a powercore but its not
Wrong style of caps and look at the sub side of the amp.
It kinda of a waste heck thunderdome popped some of them and the amp kept working you could remove all but 2 and get the same thing
