So as ive been reconfiguring things w my setup, i noticed something of on i guess what is the serial numbers on two of my amps.
I assume pg use to have the manufacturing date encoded in the serial numers. If so take a look at this.
My blk zx450v2

No my ti400.2

So it looks like my zx450 was built after the ti was. If so i thought the zx line was 2 gens before the ti and the zxti was inbetween the zx and ti.
Does anyone know anything about this?

I wouldn't read too much into that serial number. If you think that the 450 was made on 6/6/05 then I would say no. I highly doubt they only built one amp that day, so if that were the manufacture date hen there would be a number following that date.

V2- version 2
00566- the the 566th one

There was some kind of numbering system in the later serial numbers I thought that showed what day it was completed on and that you could enter the last few numbers into somewhere and it would convert it to a date. As you can see I remember the specifics of it very very clearly
on Thursdays........

Ok, so to put the formula in here,
First 5 digits are the model
Second 5 digits are the number of days after 1900 that it was made
Last 4 digits are number in production that day
So translated, your amp was the 19th amp made on 11/19/02 and the model was coded as 05591.
Btw I didn't do the math but I'm sure the date adds up.
