Single PG amp for 3-channel operation

Post by sunshinefc3s »

Guys,
Looking at either picking up an Elite.4 or a Ti21000.4 to run in 3-channel. I have a 4-door sedan with front stage only (currently Elite.65cs), and a single 10" sub in the back (currently a 4-ohm Boston G3). I have room for 1 amp, and was curious if either of these 4-ch amps are happy running in 3-ch mode. Have the stock Bose HU and Alpine H660 processor.

I suppose another option is to get a 5-ch and bridge the front 4-channels.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,
-Alex

Though the 4 channel works, I would look at the 5 channel with either bridged fronts or even better of running the fronts without a passive crossover. You could also go with some sort of processor and run it active. I've got a Ti21600.5 and have nothing but good things to say about it.
