Opinions on strapping 2 ti800.1

I have 2 4ohm dvc jl tw3 12's. Been running of the sub side of a reactor. I want more power. I have 2 zx600.2ti amps but my box is a mono chamber and setting the gains for an amp to each is near impossible due to component variations and different power levels. So I was thinking a 1000.2 or 2 800.1 amps strapped. I hear the 1000.2 can starve the far fets with the single power supply so I think the 800.1's would be ideal. I haven't heard if anyone has done this and if it worked out ok. Thanks for the help.
