Got a small question.
The R-Nets in my ax406A are 70, 90, 425 if I recall correctly.
The R-Net in the 215X is a 90.
If I use the HP Output on the 215X to connect to an amplifier that has a 24db built in x-over will it be full signal going to the amp? I need to cross the horns around 1000 or so and run my midbass from 70-250(300)
Right now I'm using the aux output -> ax406A -> amp1, amp2, amp3
I need to change the x-over frequences for the midbass and horns and figured since the other two amps have built in x-overs it would be easier than buying the rnets and replacing them.
Thanks,
Kevin

Re: PG EQ 215X
Thanks Zeropoint. I looked in the manual and it really didn't say anything about what freq the LP/HP used if connecting it directly to an amp. I'm probably over complicating this anyway, but if it would just dish out a full signal then I could control the x-over on the other amp and be set.

Re: PG EQ 215X
it seems to be very simple..... you want a fullrange signal, you need the AUX output.soth wrote:Thanks Zeropoint. high and lowpass outputs will give you (standard) a 90hz high/lowpass signal....with the factory Rnet in it.....
witch amps do you have ?? zx series ??
Re: PG EQ 215X
That's one reason I just used the aux to go to my ax406a so I could control it there. I had to sell my 2125 and 2240 awhile back (both were mint) too so now I have a 500.4 and the 2500. 2500 for the subs and 500.4 for horns and midbass/midrange.
The CD1E v1's are a peizo driver so it naturally rolls off, but I will be upgrading those drivers with better ones shortly and need a x-over point around 900-1100.
If the LP/HP just uses the standard 90hz +/- to let those frequences go through then I'd still be able to controll it via the 500.4 np.

Re: PG EQ 215X
If needed, you can always change out the Rnetworks...
Re: PG EQ 215X
Yes, if you use the HP at 90 hz, you can controll the crossover point on the 500.4 to get your 900-1100hz crossover point, but your crossover slope will now be at 48db/oct instead of 24db/oct, so keep that in mind when tuning. I do something similar with my system. My subwoofer amplifier is low pass ONLY, no option to bypass but I also control the crossover point/slope/phase for the subwoofer through the headunit, essentially providing a steeper crossover slope.soth wrote:That's one reason I just used the aux to go to my ax406a so I could control it there. Re: PG EQ 215X
True. That was my first thought on ordering or building the ones I need. Then I thought about bypassing and letting the 500.4 do it instead.trickyricky wrote:If needed, you can always change out the Rnetworks...

That would work also. I may go ahead and give this a try first.dwnrodeo wrote:Yes, if you use the HP at 90 hz, you can controll the crossover point on the 500.4 to get your 900-1100hz crossover point, but your crossover slope will now be at 48db/oct instead of 24db/oct, so keep that in mind when tuning.
