zapco ag amps?

Post by kg1961 »

I have never used a zapco product in my life
I love the look i could never afford the white and black ag amps
I picked up a couple ag350.2 i read they are under rated
If so how much
Not sure if they are 2ohm bridged so i bought a set of 8ohm subs
Thoughts how do they sound?
most of my gear is gone :liar:

Never heard anything bad about them. They seem to be popular in the pawn shops in my area.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Any of the older Zapco stuff and even their mid to top end stuff today sounds tits  , have run several of their amps over the years and was extremely impressed with the build and sound quality  . The newer DC series I picked up sound better than the Elite5 set up I had  , all I did was swap amps and adjust to my taste and was blown away to say the least  . I'm looking into getting a Zapco Z-150.4 and Z-2k as I have a co-worker running the same amps and the sound quality and build are very ...very impressive.

^^^^ Yep, as an example, my newest DC1100.1 is rated at 1100 wrms at a 2ohm load and the birth sheet states 1254 wrms with a max burst with music at 1633wrms. The amp is also stable down to 1/2 ohm like the old ORION stuff ...good shit.

The reference line replaced the earlier AG amps but are the same just different color been running a couple 350s for few years on subs and diamond audio hex comps and its the best sounding setup I have had to date. Also have a reference 1000.4 its a beast. I still love my old school PG stuff but its the pods and switches acting up that got me trying other stuff. Enjoy they are great amps let us know what you think about it.

I forgot to add they only do 4ohms bridged but really shine on a sub.
