Not sure if this is the best location for this thread so feel free to move it. I recently have purchased a few old ti amps with lite scratches, etc and was wondering if they're are some good techniques to clean these up and try to keep the finish protected in the future. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

^^^^ Hit up ttocs ...he posted a thread a while back on preserving the TI stuff he has ...was pretty thorough and easy to do if you take your time with it and the results were pretty damn nice.

The majority of the amps I have collected are mostly just scratched. Only one or two have rust veins and they are lite at that.

if is just a scratched clear you can wet-sand down as far as you can go with out getting into the metal and then just cover the whole thing with a good quality clear coat. IF there is rust you want to repair you need to go down into the metal to get the rust out. To recreate the Ti finish just use a 150 grit sand paper and be sure to only sand in the same direction as the grain in the metal, and then clear it.
