Im doing the same just finished the right side on my zx400, im using blue led but i was told by the seller i could cut the led strip it did not work only some of the leds light up on the right side so i will add a new and place it better.
Where do you get Power for the led i put the + of the led in remote terminal and earth it on the gold screw that secure the board to the chassis.

I can add a Picture tommorow when im done putting new led strip in, here is one of it now.
I like the blue better because of the three blue leds but with the white you see the inside much better, im thinking off putting white in the three led on top of the amp and white inside one of my zx600.

I just used 6-32 screws in the top of the remote and ground inside the amp. The strips I used are made to be cut. They have little scissor marks every 2ish inches.

I may have to look into an led fan. It wouldn't light the bottom up very well I think. The plate the fan mounts on also devides the top and bottom half. I like the idea though.

I tried to find a clear led fan that is 0.19amp and have the same CFM & RPM as the original fan but I cant find one, I found a clear fan that is 0.18amp on ebay but I does not got the light i will try and glue light on it though.

That looks pretty cool.

I wouldn't use the amp boards ground to ground the lights. I'd run the wires out through the cooling vents on the side and connect the LEDs independently from the amp. Otherwise you are asking for noise.

What about using red or orange glow for,the fan and then blue or white inside the amp? I think it would look pretty cool, kind of like a fire is growing inside the amp.
A few of these and a few of those.
