question on running elite amps

Ok, here yet another strange question.
2 channel amp or even a 4 or whatever.
can you run one channel(say left) at 4 ohms full range(assuming all crossovers etc are done before the amp), and have the other channel(in this case right) run at 1or 2 or 4 ohms but crossed over for say a subwoofer?
I believe an audison DSP( the bit one) will allow you to tune and cross over each channel coming out of it. what i would like to do, is run one channel as a center channel, and the other as the sub channel. obviously the gain settings and such would not be used much, and control of the signal strength would be controlled by the bit one.
