What do you guys think would win in SQ. I need about 150 watts a channel into 4 ohms.
I will have:
front components.
front midbass
rear components.
center channel (still optional)
Sub.
the sub will most likely be the slim line 12" from PG(if you have a better option please state it, but space is a huge issue)

Almost sounds like you need a zen9

I haven't played with the thesis but my elite is very accurate I've been quite impressed with it.

With all of the talk about how the elites are the best sounding PG amp ever, can an amp really be noticeably better sounding? I can say that my McIntosh was noticeably cleaner than my ZPAs but it was much less powerful, so at higher volumes who knows, but he elites are said to be better sounding than the ZPAs, so I pose the follow up question.

Plain and simple, look at the circuit board on each amp and look for Op-amps. If they have them and it is going through the signal, the sound will be degraded. ZPA amps do not use Op-amps, so, you will have the purist of sound. If Elite amps use Op-amps then, ZPA will sound better. Where the sound gets ruined with ZPA are with the line drivers and cross overs... they are full of Op-amps. Both the M and MS series have Op-amps for the input gain stage, so the sound is getting effected. But, Burson Audio has a transistor based op-amp that you could install, in place of the chip Op-amp. The sound change is incredible. You will never go back. If you have the room for it...
