Welding cable as power wire.

I have some welding cable that I want to use as a power cable ! Does anyone know what size standard welding cable is ? The reason is that I need to find a distribution block that will go from welding cable to two 4 gage cables and want to make sure I get the right one. Most 0 guage inputs on line look too small. I would like to fuse it off the batteryand fuse again when it branches to 2 four guage power lines. Does this sound right to everyone ? Just looking for advice ! And want to buy the right shit the first time !

There are different sizes of welding cables. ..what size cable do you have it should tell you on the sheathing of the cable.

it should tell you on the cable jacket what size it is. also, theres nothing wrong with using welding cable (most of my wire is welding cable)

welding cable is used by lots of people as power cable. lots of times i find it not flexible enough for me, but if thats not an issue for you, go for it!

If welding cable is flexible enough for your needs, go for it.
I also fuse off the battery, then again at a fused distro block before splitting to the amps.
