So im finally getting around to install my kit, and really not looking forward to doing it, but its all a learning curve.
Basically i have a load of PG Tantrum gear and want to use my 2 x 1200.1's to run my sub
Sub is a Cerwin Vega STROKER 102 DVC 2 ohm per coil 1000 Watts RMS each
my question is will i have to gain mactch the Tantrum amps?
if so is this going to be a mission?
also as the sub is 2 ohm per coil will the 1200.1's be ok in 2ohm?
and does anyone know how to wire these amps up?
as there are 2 x + and 2 x - speaker terminals?
thought it was a monoblock?
or are 1 set for 4 ohm and the other for 2 ohm??
im in the UK so anyone local over here feel free to say HI

welcome!
the tantrums are awesome amps! the outputs are wired together internal. the 2+ and 2- are just for wiring options.
they can run at 2ohm just fine. the harder mission will be getting enough currant to them!
also, the absolutely will have to be gain matched....which i have never done on 2 amps together. hopefully someone else can chime in on that.

Cheers for the reply,
Its such a shame i cant STRAP the 2 tantrum's
my aim is to do The Big 3 soon, 2nd battery in the boot, 50mm welding cable for both Positive and Earth
kit going in is as follows
amps
2 x pg tantrum 200.1's
1 or possibly 2 x pg tantrum 600.4's
i have a 10 farad tantrum power grid which would make wiring easier as have distibution built in , accually have 2 of these
pg tantrum bass cube
also have a tba1 line driver to a eq30 which i may use.
speakers
sub = cerwin vega 10" stroker 2000watts rms ( 1000 watts per coil )
front components Cerwin vega IT5.25
Rear components Cerin vega IT6.02
and possibly my PG Elite 9" mids if i can fit them anywhere off the 2nd tantrum 600.4
i really need to work out what i can fit in the car though

To gain match you will need a digital multimeter and check the AC voltage coming out the speaker leads. Run a constant frequency (test tone) and adjust the gains to match voltage. I believe that since they are the same amp with the same signal and power the current will match if the voltage matches (power = I x V).
What kind of car is it all going into?
