Phoenix Gold Phorum

So I have 2 of these bought new and never used still boxed.

After reading about many issues with the 15 and 20 versions

Do these have the same faults. I'm now very worries about using them.

Is it best I have them checked over? If so is there anywhere in the uk that can do this?

Also do any of the tantrum amps have cap issues.

The Tantrum 10 and 20 as well as the TI PowerCore 20 all have the same issue with leaking caps. The TI PowerCore15 has a cap bank made by Alumapro and is a sealed case bank vs. the other models. That's not to say that the PC15 doesn't have issues, but have ran several of the TI PC15's and never had an issue.
I'm not sure who'd be able to service it in the UK, maybe some of our other European members can chime in.

The Tantrum amps dont fall victim to the PG cap curse. Thats not to say they cannot fail, they just arent on "the list".
The 1200.1 does have a reputation of failure though. The part that goes is not made anymore so very hard to find for a fix.
